EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION

Early Bird Registration rates ($150 reduction) for U9-U18 ends July 31 11:59pm.

The following information MUST be reviewed BEFORE you can register your child or children.

Fees Information

 

Requirements:

 

Online registration is available for players who:

  • Have never played hockey before
  • Have previously registered to play hockey in New Sarepta
  • Online Registration MAY NOT be available if your child played with another association in 2023-24
    • If you are moving to New Sarepta from another Association, you will need to complete the Parent Declaration which is now an online form with Hockey Alberta. Click on this link Parent Declaration to complete the form and in the email address of the new association, please put nsmha.registrar2023@gmail.com.
      • Once this is received, NSMHA will put in an electronic transfer request and you will be notified when completed and then be able to register on line with your payment.
    • Any players that reside outside of New Sarepta boundaries need to register with their home association & request a release. If release is granted, provide the signed movement form to nsmha.registrar2023@gmail.com

IMPORTANT: All fees are due by December 1st with at least 50% due by September 15.  If payments are not completed by December 1st, players will be ineligible to play until fees are paid in full.

Payment Options will be as follows:

  • Credit Card - Now accepted with online registrations only. Please note that transaction and processing fees (2.79% PLUS $0.99) will be the responsibility of the payee and not NSMHA.
  • First Payment will be at time of check out, the following 4 installments are due by December 1st with at least 50% due by September 15.
  • E-Transfers - If you select ‘Offline Payment’ as payment option at checkout, e-transfer payments must be sent to treasurer.nsmha@gmail.com.
    • Please note your players full name in the message.

NEW FIRST TIME PLAYERS

Prior to registration, you will need to complete the following:

  1. You must take the ”Respect In Sport - Parent Edition (RIS)” online course and provide a copy of your player's birth certificate to register.RESPECT IN SPORT: The fee for this course is $12.00 and it takes about an hour to complete. This course expires after 4 years. Families that do not have this course will be unable to register online. Please ensure you select "New Sarepta Minor Hockey Association" as your home association. If you have completed Respect In Sport in another sport, you can transfer your certificate to NSMHA. Learn more.

    Once you complete your Respect in Sport, you can link your PLAYER to your RIS account from their website. This will auto generate them an HCR# (Hockey Canada Registry#). This is a unique identifying player number that will stay with them throughout their hockey career.

  2. Create a Hockey Canada account & link the new HCR# to your account.
  3. If you already have a child participating in minor hockey for who you’ve completed the Respect in Sport Parent course, you simply have to:
    • Login to your Respect in Sport - Parent Program and add the new player.
    • Enter your login credentials (username and password) and click Login.
    • Click on Profile, Click on Child Management and in Child  Management,  you select ADD CHILD.
    • Be sure to select NEW SAREPTA MINOR HOCKEY as your minor hockey association.  This step will create a new Hockey Canada ID for your new player.

 

PLAYERS OUTSIDE OF NSMHA BOUNDARIES

To be able to play with a minor hockey association that is outside of your home address draw region. Please reference the Hockey Alberta Player Movement Process & Form.
